tweet from our glorious prime minister: “The Labour Party is now a threat to our national security, our economic security and your family’s security.”. Wow, scaremongering much? The best interview so far has to be Gove on the BBC. He basically said that because Corbyn wanted to get rid of our nuclear deterrent we would be less safe. He then went on to explain that we had to deal with less safe world we live in which is why we need it. He explained that terrorists were actively trying to get hold of nuclear weapons (something I don’t doubt). But my question would be, if a terrorist sets off a bomb like that in the UK, where do you plan on using your bombs? Because last I looked most terrorists were not whole countries. They are factions that cross borders. They don’t fear the deterrent. I for one look forward to seeing what Corbyn does as leader. I want him to do well not because I agree with everything he says or does, but because I believe he is saying what he thinks, not just what people want to hear. More importantly I believe he is different and if there is one thing politics needs at the moment it is to change. More of the same is not getting us anywhere.
