I don’t mind a democratic vote. I’m not even sure which way I would have voted had I the chance. I can see both sides and it isn’t an easy one. On the one hand clearly this is going to do a lot of harm and we are getting ourselves into yet another complex situation with no easy way out and questionable benefits from it. On the other hand there is a UN resolution, we are a member and we have been asked by a number of our allies. We are also doing the same job over the border. The thing that angers me more than anything else is the way the debate was conducted and how this is heralded as democracy. The PM calling Corbyn and others terrorist sympathisers is inexcusable. This throwing round of 70,000 troops was bollocks and we all know it. I think over the last few months I have started to work out the issues I have had with the conservatives. I don’t have much of an issue with the party as a whole or their policies. There is value in a lot of the ideas they have, I have an issue with the dirty way they do politics. The PM deliberately misquoting Corbyn for saying the death of Bin Laden was a tragedy. The outright lies presented in the commons to push through their agenda. If your agenda has merit let it stand on its own two feet.
