I know this is basically what you expect, but it is nice when the numbers match. Going over our financial data, when Tilly was born, there was a drop in meals out and a spike in takeaway that has dropped over time as she started to sleep better through the night. Meals out over 2014 basically halved compared to 2013. There you go new parents… real world stats…
Yes I would like to cancel my house insurance policy… yes, I am taking out a new one… yes it is with you and yes it is cheaper… this is a crazy industry. I can save £70 for a 15min phone call and I now have better cover with the same company…. Here is a crazy idea… reward loyalty…
British gas quote for new boiler… not amazing but not as bad as I expected. I managed to cut their expected phonecall time down from an hour to 8 minutes… wish I could cut the price down like that…
Heating works, heating works, heating works! And did we need the new boiler you tried to pressure sell us into…. Did we hell
Thank you UK gov and student loans for making that considerably more stressful than it should have been. Nice to see you guys talk so well… (yes I know I should have sorted it out earlier… but to be fair, it should have been easy!)

And the heating isn’t working again…. Yey yoyo system….
I want a medal. Heating fully working (quick visit from a plumber who agreed on what was broken), to the shop to pick up a thermostat, fitted and working. Tilly fed with a bottle and in bed asleep. All while Demelza is out.
This evening. Heating not working. Time to have a look. *sparks and a bang*. Heating and hot water not working. Call Paul. We now have hot water again. Plumber tomorrow me thinks
