I have never felt so at odds with my own country. Some people are saying we have got our country back. I feel like I have lost mine. Mine was a country of the world, not an island, but a global nation. Today it feels like we have just undone decades of progress for a few cheap political points. Almost every news story I read yesterday was about companies stating intentions to pull people out of this country. To take away investment and to move their business elsewhere. This was not done for our future, this was done because people can’t see past there own doorstep sometimes. How closed minded a nation we must appear.
Well Chris… we now know what the bland Mr Cameron will be known for in history. The man who took us out of the EU and the man who probably brought about the break up of the UK. Quite a legacy….
So the drop in the economy already looks like it will be bigger than the bollocks £350m figure… so that would be less money for our NHS there. Good maths England
Always nice to see the baby boomers find yet another way to screw everyone over…. genuinely very worried for the future now and based on my facebook and friends I literally know 2 people that wanted this.
Oh look… another article of quotes from people in Europe explaining how screwed we will be if we leave… aka, no access to free market without free movement. – Europeans ready to play hardball over Brexit – BBC News
Been a very long morning, time for a well deserved breakfast
massively looking forward to the 4:45am alarm I am setting…
Find it so scary listening and reading posts by some people pro leaving the EU. I can live with people who want to leave because they have done their research… but people taking the figures given by remain are mental… the remains fear project is not helping and right, but they are not straight up lying about the numbers…
I have voted to stay in the EU this evening. I believe voting is important and we have a basic responsibility to do it to the best of our abilities. I am in because I don’t want to live on an isolated little island. I feel we have a responsibility to help deal with the problem of mass migration, something we had a major hand in creating. It is a real issue we need to grow up and face, not run and hide from. I have voted in because I believe our economy will take a huge dive if we leave the EU. I think anyone who thinks we will get a better deal from outside the EU is dreaming and clearly not listening to what other heads of state are not only saying, but clearly going to have no choice but to do. I believe outside the EU we are a much less interesting trading and political partner. I would rather be part of the solution than shutting out eyes to it. I think if we can’t negotiate with our nearest neighbours, how can we expect to bridge the gap to the likes of China or India. I see this as a debate between young and old and the old need to respect the wishes of those left behind, not damn our future. I believe the wealth of evidence for staying in is overwhelming and don’t see any credibility in leading figures for vote leave.
For anyone not registered to vote and sane enough to think we should be staying in the EU please register to vote: http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-politics-eu-referendum-36379313 (you have until tomorrow). – EU referendum: How to register to vote – BBC News
Anyone who uses Teamviewer on their computer, you are advised to uninstall it for now. They have had a major hack. At work we have seen someone’s machine logged into and they tried to empty their PayPal account. There is a huge reddit thread where people are saying they have had quite a lot of stuff taken because of this. For reference all the people I normally get to use teamviewer I normally just suggest they run it and not install, so you should be fine.
